Tummy Experiment

Bad case of wheatgrass. It's been two days of queasy stomach. But I refuse to take Pepto so my body can heal naturally. I've noticed when I introduce bread I become regular. I don't think it's the fiber since eating Trader Joe's O's cereal only worsens my condition.

Going to the gym in  abit. Just made a concotion. Not for flavor but for medicine. It contains

Hot water
Chinese dates
Spoonful Yarrows Coconut oil
Half spoonful Raw honey (that is no longer raw)

Boiled it for a few minutes then add one slice of ginseng to hold my stomach.

Results hoping for... burning fat while increasing yang heat to my stomach to stabalize. Hopefully coconut oil kills any parasites or bacteria in me.

Tastes...not bad...coconutty with hints of sweetness.

10 mins pass stomach feels better.
15 mins pass not much better.
Felt like I had to pee during my hour workout.

Experiment 2

Water
Ginger
Coconut oil
Cinnamon

Felt better enough to eat, but morning not so sweet.

Experiment 3

2 cups Water
2 Slice Ba Zhu
1 Slice Ginger

Ate a breakfast croissant. Ate lunch. Am totally back to normal.

Peaceful Sunday Morning

So all yesterday everything started to taste good again. I had a simple beef salad with a hummus, sesame oil, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar dressing. And it was delicious. I can't believe stores won't carry a sugar free salad dressing. Hello! What do people on south beach avoid like the plague. Anyways, even my frozen chicken nuggets tasted good, though I could only eat a few. I even tortured myself by walking through Walmart's snack aisle. Funny thing is, I had no cravings. I could imagine what it tasted like, but I didn't crave and yearn for it. Nice. Instead I crave for my salad with my hummus dressing.

So I took half cup of that concoction last night. I had an ok sleep, not as deep as my last two nights. I felt it, the allergies coming back. I felt myself feeling as if I recovered from a cold when I didn't have a cold. I spit out mucus. Took another half cup and though I didn't feel super energized to work out, I decided yesterdays break was enough. I am able to stretch and touch my knuckles to the floor. Nice. But I kind of notice my leg muscles feeling tired. I walk for 10 mins on the treadmill, run for 1. Start to sweat. Back in the days I could run 20 mins at 6.0mph. Now muscles feel tired. So I move on to the elliptical machine. Just two days ago I did 30-40 mins back to back. Today, not even 15. I felt my tongue get hot though. I have a good sweat, but not beet red.

I weighed myself, lost three pounds in 1 week. Ok, I hope this is not water weight. I have been sneaking in one or two bites sugars though I am not supposed to. Maybe I should have ate a couple before the work out.

Am I glowing like a few days ago? No, but my eye bag looks a little flatter not by much. But that allergy feeling is gone again. What I learned from Chinese medicine is that an over active heart, weakens the lungs, a weak pair of lungs is prone to allergies, that's why you should drink water or use kidney activating herbs to cool down the heart. Then everything regains balance. By accident I found that out to be true. Check out the diagram.

This is why not all herbs is suited for particular individuals. Definitely get a consultation from your acupuncturist before you go herb shopping.

Fu Ling

Morning, heart is beating fast. Nose is congested. Was it the herbs or my over fragranced room? Orange blossoms are taking over my apartment complex. It smells so sweet though. Anyways I get a case of itchy throat. Maybe I took too much.

I decide to go to a Chinese herb store to find some Fu Ling (poria). I researched it online and it said it helps with:

"1.Edema

2. Tumors: Fu ling compound was used on 70 different type of tumors. In some cases only fu ling was used, and in others fu ling was used with chemo therapy, or radiation therapy or surgery. It showed that fu ling can strengthen the body, improve body weight, improve appetite, lessen or prevent side effect of chemo therapy, protect bone marrow, improve liver and kidney functions, improve radiation therapy on nose and throat cancers. (2)

3. Infant diarrhea

4. Improve schizoid condition

5. Improve liver function

6. For baldness after giving birth:

Use 10 g of fu ling. Make into decoction. Twice a day. Externally apply bu gu zhi and han lian cao tincture. All of the eight patients healed in two months. Source: Chinese Dermatology Journal"

My book however summarized it and said taking once ounce per day can make the face glow like jade because it leaches out dampness, and gets rid of water retention in your skin. It says it helps the spleen push stagnant fluids. Basically I am using it to get rid of eye bags.

I grab a bag of Poria and the herbologist tells me it's the wrong one. Fu Ling is the long white flat kind mine was another kind of Poria, for a different function. Now how was I supposed to know that? I really recommend seeing your local Chinese herb carrier.

I asked her if there was a difference between Astraglus and Astragali, she said yes they look the same but are for totally different functions. Sheesh again! How was I supposed to know. I had a feeling it was the wrong herb. Anyways I'm confused about that particular root. There is also Astraglae.

Anyhow after much discussion, I think I will stick to her for all my herb needs, she seems to know what is going on and she speaks English. So I get from her new herbs to test. Basically I was looking for herbs to help with my dark circles. Chinese medicine states dark circles are the result of weak kidneys. So I ask her for some recommendations.

So I end up buying:
  • Fu Lin (Poria)- to remove dampness, and water retention
  • Ba Zhu (Actractlyodes)- increase spleen qi ( i was told I had weak spleen qi some time ago, and they wanted me to come back to check up at 150 a session...ermmm....i know i'm not sick....another conspiracy to make me sick and dependent.)
  • Tu Si Zi (Dodder Seed)- tonify liver and kidney
  • Suo Yang (Cynomorium Songaricum) - for women lacking in kidney yang. Doh! I just researched it online, for women who have decreased libido. That's not me!
  • Shao Zu Yu (Cornus fruitus)- tonifies liver, yang kidney and yin kidney
  • Shen Di Huang (Cooked Rehmannia) - tonifies kidney and kindey essence
  • Shu Di Huang (Raw Rehmannia) - cools blood.
The herbalist told me not to get the wrong Di Huang. The raw one cools the blood and the cooked one helps with the kidneys. The cooked on you can use a good amount. The raw one, you should never use more than 2 patties.

Now whats all this kidney business? What I do know about your kidney is that it governs your sexual vitality. And we all have a finite amount of kidney essence. If we lose this at a rapid pace we age faster. This is why the people from western culture appears to age faster than say people from the eastern culture. Western men tend to use their's up more than Eastern men. Hence American men tend to age rapidly by 30, losing their hair, wrinkling, etc.

Soooo....DO NOT ABUSE YOUR KIDNEYS! They say practicing tantric sex (for men) where you hold in your "essence" will prevent you from losing your essence and aging too quickly. This only matters for the super vain men who want absolute energy and youth.

Anyways so I concoct another tea. This time I use:
  • 1 large Fu Lin flake
  • 1/8 cup Zhu (Actractlyodes)
  • 1/8 cup Tu Si Zi (Dodder Seed)- tonify liver and kidney
  • 1/2 patty of Suo Yang - Cynomorium Songaricum
  • 1/8 cup Shao Zu Yu (Cornus fruitus)
  • 2 patties of Shen Di Huang (Cooked Rehmannia)
  • 10 oz water
I let this boil for 30 mins. Good lord it's sour, but strangely my allergies are gone. I don't have that internal heat business and that weird feeling in my throat is gone. Heart rate is back to normal. Cool beans. The top of my tongue though is still a little sore.

I'm a Man Magnet

Oh yah baby. Yesterday I decided to not to go to the gym. Took a break. I drank half cup of my tea concoction. Today, I said I must drink more. So I had two half cups in the morning, and my lazy ass makes it to work 15 minute early, energized. This has never happened in the 4 years I've worked there. I am focused and clear headed. I poured some coffee in my cup and dumped it because I didn't need it. I feel as if I am in total control of my cravings. A couple coworkers told me my face looked like it shrank as well as my arms. Well this morning I noticed I could see my rib cage.

I've been researching this Di Huang (Rehmannia) herb. It says

"1. Medium dosages strengthen the function of the heart. Large doses are toxic for the heart.
2. Increases blood pressure.
3. Small doses constrict the blood vessels and large doses dilate the blood vessel.
4. It possesses the characteristics of diuretics.
5. It decreases the blood sugar and inhibits carbohydrates being converted into blood sugar."

I think this is why I am losing inches (but not pounds) in only two heavy workout days. Ooooh so cool This stuff is only $3 a bag. Take that evil diet pill corporations! I bet you the FDA is going to try to outlaw this to control society to make them take lab created pills.

Anyways so one more half cup before I hit the gym. Today I go to the gym perfume, make up free. My goodness, the guys are checking me out. Usually they try to not stare at me too long because it Gold's gym is for serious beef cakes only. But I noticed a few really trying to stare at me. One tried to pretend he wasn't looking at me, but he did that back bend tilt your head when I walked away. Poor guy's gonna injure his back and neck because of me. Hahaha.

Then this other guy approached me. Talking chit chatting, then working out next to me, then trying to ask me out while the back bend guy looked at us. The male attention is kind of insane. I didn't use any perfume, pheromones, spells, nothing! Nice. Nothing beats having sexy muscles anyways. My belly could use some shrinkage still, but that is for another day.

Oh yah, as for my work outs I am progressing longer times on the cardio machines and more reps on the weight stuff. My body is transforming as we speak.

Oh My, Going Through Puberty Again

Just to let you guys know I am 30. I've been trying to hypnotize myself to go through puberty again without much luck. Trust me you can do a lot with hypnosis. So I thought I could create this feat..little did I know my super powers are limited. Anyways, I felt I could have developed physically in certain areas more than I actually did. This explains why I look like a baby.

By golly I found the magic bullet. These roots have a pretty long affect. I'm getting aroused like I did when I was in high school. Yikes.

So the mushroom I took last night was crap. If you cook it for too long it turns into a bark. Weird. I drank 1/4 of the tea only to feel weird. I felt a little pain in my back like I had a pinched nerve. I woke looking rosey, probably from all the exercise. But as the day progressed my rosiness faded and the dark circles under my eyes became more apparent. My digestion was a little lose.

Forget that. I also find myself spacing out more than usual. I dump the tea and concoct a new one. This time using:

5 Dried Logan
handful of Lotus Seeds
1/4 Di Huang (Rehmannia) Patty
White Fungus
1/2 cup Aduki Beans
1/2 cup Chinese Dates

I took a 20 minute nap as the formula brews. The liquid came out dark brown. The taste was not bad. I felt like it tasted like harmony. I'm in a very good mood, as my tiredness goes away and I tell myself I can make it to the gym for another day. I take a logan fruit just for that extra sugar rush. Still a little spacey though.

My work out wasn't as intense on these lighter fruits than say on the roots. But then again I don't feel the need to kill anyone. I had to push myself a little more versus the roots giving me that extra endurance. Oh well. Great, I come out flushed again. I tend to get people to look at me a lot. Perhaps because I'm blaring red.

I noticed my muscles developing nicely. I do think I'm sexier. Like I got younger, hotter. Not sure. I went to the grocery store and guys were whistling. I guess that confirmed I'm hot stuff. :)

I took a shower and straightened my hair. My, my I feel beautiful! I can't for the life of me see any flaws. Just my big head or the herbs talking? Either way, I haven't felt this way in a while. Experiment, so far successful.

Chinese Herbs Day 1-4

Welcome to my blog. Interested in chinese herbs? Well follow along as I log in all my experiences with various herbs. The reason why I'm doing this is because I want to be a sufficient self healer. And experience beats text anyday. However, I don't recommend anyone try this. I have super self healing abilities. So I know how to get rid of toxins. Basically drink lots of water. :)

My problem with all doctors is that they either don't know what they are doing or they don't have the right energy to do it right. Plus it cost too much and takes too long.

Ok so I'm reading this book called Anti-Aging Therapy. Really, I look like a baby already, probably because I took TCM herbs as a kid, and it has permanently stunted my age. Nothing to complain about. So I'm having a hard time finding these herbs. When you try to decipher Chinese into english you have a bunch of ways to spell the same thing. For instance, some people use the word Qi while others Chi. You spell Bagua I spell Pa Kua. Whatever.

But when it comes to herbs, I'm more incline to say WTF than whatever. It's one thing to not know how to cast a spirit you never saw anyways away. It's another thing to get the wrong latin term and treat yourself for something else.

So Day 1

I went shopping at Ranch 99 and find my first herbs.

Dahurian Angelica Root
Chrsysanthynum flower
Black and White Fungus

But the book said I should get Dang Gui (chinese angelica root)....hmmmm....I'm going to die aren't I? Nevertheless, I made my first tea using 10 oz of water a couple strans of my Angelica root, and seeped it in the dried flowers. The effect....warming of the hands. I felt comfy and cozy.

I drink half and save the other half for the next day. I wake up very aroused. Hmmmm. I notice my skin is oily and shiny. I felt like I'm going through puberty again.

Day 2

I finished the tea. Decided to go shopping again. This time I found:

Radix Astragali

My book, however, said I should get Huang Qi (Astragalus Root). Scared and curious I boiled my astragali anyways. I took a cup of that. The next morning I had a tough time taking a piss. My eyes were warm and tired. I feel myself turning into a semi-hulk. I decide to blog about the evils of weed and tell all the weed smokers off. My neighbor a user and part time dealer comes knocking at my door and confronts me. Instead of being my caring self I was like go f* off and point the finger at him saying weed makes him an emotional mess, and it's why he can't tell what's right in the world and it's the reason why he keeps on having to confront me over trivial matters. I was totally inconsiderate and rude and strangely I was loving it. Then I started to feel a tad negative. Like my anger is taking over.

Day 3

I was at work, realizing I have too much yang energy. I really wasn't myself. Really angry. So I had to drink a lot of water to get rid of the excess. Phew. I could pee again. Ok forget that crazy combo. I come to a realization and I tell my weed smoking girl friend, look, every plant you take is medicinal. There is a limit to any plant being helpful. Yah, yah, weed helps with emotional issues and pain, etc, but once you get off of it returns. I asked her how much she spent to feel better like 50 bucks a pop? I was like it probably cost you the same going to therapy and that kind of fix is permanent. She still tells me it's good for this and that, and I was like so are my Chinese herbs. But you go and take the wrong dose and you can go mad just like with any medicinal plants. There are chemicals in all plants, and there is no such thing as a plant you take without limits. Even too many carrots can cause constipation. So we agree no more pot for her. She's going on a natural high from now on. So, I deleted my blog.

Anyways, back to me. My friend told me I looked pale. I must have the wrong herb since Dang Gui (Angelica root) is suppose to increase circulation and Astragalus more energy. The only thing I feel is my heart racing. You know that feeling that feels like only bad things happen to you, and you're going to get everyone back? I was like no, this is a sign of imbalance, I need to get a grip. I think what happened was that it increase my stomach chi and decreased my kidney's. So I guess I got to experience what it feels like when anger is associated with a biological imbalance. People with overactive livers should really stop the alcohol/chemical abuse. Not good on the soul or body.

Anyways, suspected my Astragali, was the culprit. So I remove it. I drink only the Angelica Root and the flowers. My hands are hot and my circulation is kicking in. My hands are always cold by the way. I drank half and saved the other half.

Day 4

Next day, the internal heat makes it hard to go pee again, but I'm not so angry, actually very goofy as usual. I can feel heaviness in my eyes, like they're going to burn. I'm aware of my emotions and keep it under wraps. Pretty happy most of the day.

So I go buy some more herbs for testing. Add to my list of tests is:

Huang Qi (Astragalus)
Qi Lin (Huge Ass Mushroom)
Dried Logans
Pickled Yellow Plum
Lotus Seeds
Remainia

So I cheat on my south beach diet and eat the sweet pickled plums. Note to self...I hate south beach. I notice things cooling down a bit. Not so sickly. Then right before I hit the gym I had two dried logans. I think logans are a beauty fruit. I'm looking very pink and pretty. When I got to the gym, same routine, now I am beet red. It was the workout of my life. But it was the same routine! I realize my blood was blocked which was probably why I got lazy and tired when I work out instead of energized. I used to have the endurance of a marathon runner. What gives! I thought it was just old age, but now I realize it was bad health. Well I have been seeing a few acupuncturists who I suspect are either misdiagnosing or mistreating. Cuz I only get more tired after seeing them. One time I thought I got better and then it all drained away. Not sure what it was since I cut back on drinking big time. FYI, once you have a bad relationship with the doctor, you never know what kind of energy they accidently pass on to you. It's nothing personal. They probably can help others just not you. Because to heal you they must love you, not be mad at you.

Anyways, people were staring at me, because I'm beet red of course. But as time passes and am a beautiful flushed color. You know that color you had as a teenager. I like it. Felt very sexy and alive.

At night, I boiled some of that fat mushroom. Now I'm sleepy. I think the mushroom slows down the energy, it tasted like spit balls.

Right now, my tounge is kind of swelling. Too much yang. We'll see how I feel.
